Sunset Hill Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Alvarado, Texas · Johnson County
A family tree farm in the countryside near Alvarado, south of Fort Worth, where a Virginia pine field opens for cut-your-own the weekend after Thanksgiving and North Carolina Fraser firs are sold pre-cut.
The cut-your-own field is first come, first served, and the farm warns that it can sell out quickly, so the opening weekend gives you the best choice. Saws are provided, or you can bring your own. There is no admission charge for tree sales and parking is free in the marked areas. Leashed dogs are welcome if you clean up after them, and food is sold at the on-site cafe.
