Elves Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Denison, Texas · Grayson County
A 75-acre family tree farm off FM 120 near Denison, about an hour north of Dallas, where Virginia pine is the main crop in the cut-your-own fields and shipped-in firs fill a pre-cut lot.
Virginia pine is the tree the farm grows itself, with a few Leyland cypress in the fields as well. If you would rather skip the saw, Fraser, noble, grand and Nordmann firs are trucked in fresh and kept standing in water, and any tree you buy can be flocked on site (plan to come back for it once it dries).
Hayrides, a farm zoo, picnic areas and a gift shop with wreaths round out a visit, and free hot cider or coffee is usually on offer. Cash, checks and most cards are accepted, with a small minimum on cards. Weekday hours are short, so weekends give you the most time in the fields.
