Haynie's Green Acres
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Crowley, Texas
A family Christmas tree farm south of Fort Worth in Crowley with Texas-grown Blue Ice and Carolina Sapphire cypress in the fields, pre-cut and flocked Fraser fir, free weekend hayrides and a gift shop.
Saws are lent free for cutting field trees, and on weekends a tractor hayride runs out to the rows and back. Once you have your tree, staff shake it, net and bale it, and hand you twine for the roof of the car. Northern Fraser firs come pre-cut and get a fresh base cut, and flocked trees are sold in several colors.
There is no admission charge. Picnic tables, tree swings and free coffee are on the grounds, while marshmallow roasting and a mini train ride cost extra. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. All sales are final, so look your tree over before you leave.
