Spring Creek Growers

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Magnolia, Texas · Montgomery County

A long-running family tree farm in Magnolia growing Virginia pine and Leyland cypress, with antique-tractor hayrides out to the fields, barnyard animals and a bakery in the old farmhouse.

Each group gets a hand saw, a measuring pole, a farm map and a tag on arrival, then rides the hayride or walks out to the rows. Trees are sold by height, and only trees six feet and taller can be cut. Once your tree is down, the hayride driver hauls it back to the barn, where the crew shakes it, bales it and helps load it. Twine is free if you want to tie it on yourself.

The tree price includes the farm activities, such as the barnyard animals and the treehouse lookout. The farmhouse bakery serves hot cocoa, spiced cider and cookies, and the farm store stocks ornaments and tree skirts. Pre-cut Fraser, noble and Nordmann firs and potted Leyland cypress are also available.
