Family Roots TX Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Hockley, Texas · Harris County
A family-run Virginia pine farm northwest of Houston in Hockley, formerly known as High Star Christmas Tree Farm, with more than 30 years of growing behind it and an optional hayride through the fields.
A greeter hands you a saw and a tag at the entrance. Walk or ride the hayride out to the rows, cut your tree, hang the tag at eye level and drag it to the measuring station. Staff measure it, shake and bale it and move it to the parking lot, and you pay at the cashier and pick it up with your receipt. Crews will lift it onto your car, but you secure it yourself, so bring straps or rope.
Only Virginia pine grows here, and trees under six feet cannot be cut. Leashed dogs are welcome and can even ride the hayride. Cards and cash are accepted, but not checks, and there are no reservations during public hours.
