Wintergreen Tree Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Mantua, Ohio · Portage County

A Portage County cut-your-own farm in Mantua with several lots of pines, spruces and firs, handmade wreaths and hot drinks and donuts to warm up after the hunt.

Visitors walk the lots to find and cut their own tree, and staff will help anyone who cannot do the cutting. A baler wraps each tree in netting and the crew helps tie it to the car; a tree drill at the first lot prepares trunks for spike-style stands. Pines are in short supply, so expect mostly spruces and firs.

Only the first lot accepts credit cards, with a small surcharge; the other lots and the coffee, cocoa and donut stand are cash only, so bring both. Weekday hours start at noon and every day ends at nightfall.
