A choose-and-cut farm near Marysville in Union County with fields of Norway spruce, Scotch pine and white pine, open weekends from Thanksgiving week into late December.
At Heimbush you pick your own spruce or pine in the field and cut it with a saw the farm provides; staff tie the tree for the drive home. The season runs into late December, with the farm open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until dark.
Gifts, crafts and baked goods are sold on site. The farm posts its hours on Facebook, so check there before heading out.
