McCurdy's Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Dillsburg, Pennsylvania · York County

A large working tree farm near Dillsburg in northern York County, with nearly 100 acres of trees in eight varieties, tractor-pulled wagon rides out to the fields, a petting zoo and a bonfire to warm up by.

A tractor-pulled wagon takes you out to the tree fields, where you grab a saw and cut your own. Afterward, head to the nearest loading station and the tractor brings you and your tree back to the entrance, where trees are wrapped, drilled and shaken, and staff help tie them to your car. Fresh-cut and live plantable trees are also sold.

The fields hold concolor, Canaan, Douglas, Fraser, Nordmann and Korean fir plus Norway spruce and white pine, from about 4 to 12 feet. The gift shop carries wreaths, garland and tree stands, and weekends bring Santa, music and a food trailer. Leashed dogs are welcome. Bring a card or cash, since checks are not accepted, and wear sturdy shoes.
