Abe's Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Lancaster, Pennsylvania · Lancaster County
A small choose-and-cut farm on Butter Road in Lancaster growing Douglas fir, concolor fir and Scotch pine, with handmade wreaths and fresh greens for sale alongside the trees.
Saws are available at the farm, so you can walk the rows and cut your own tree without bringing tools. Every tree goes through the shaker and gets netted before it leaves, and the crew will drill the trunk if you use a pin-style stand.
Douglas fir runs from about 5 feet up to 10 feet and taller, while the Scotch pine tends toward larger trees of 7 feet and up. Concolor fir rounds out the field. The farm does not tag trees ahead of time. Bring cash or a check, since cards are not accepted, and check the farm's posts before heading out because opening depends on the weather.
