Smoky Mountain Christmas Tree Farm

A family Fraser fir farm on a knoll with a big red barn just off the road to Maggie Valley, about half an hour from Asheville, with cabins on the property for a holiday stay.
Choose a Fraser fir from trees of every size, or pick up a pre-cut one if you are short on time. Once you have chosen, the crew bales the tree and ties it to your car. Wreaths and garland are sold on site.
The farm runs from the weekend before Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, with shorter hours on weekdays, when it asks visitors to call ahead. The growers association lists restrooms on site. Hand-built cabins on the lower part of the farm can be rented year-round.
