Miller's Choose & Cut
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Boone, North Carolina · Watauga County
A long-season choose-and-cut farm off Meat Camp Road north of Boone, selling Fraser fir up to about ten feet and Canaan fir in mid sizes, with Fraser fir and white pine wreaths.
Miller's opens earlier and stays open later than most High Country farms, running every day from early November right up to Christmas while the trees last. That makes it a useful pick if you want to cut a tree on a weekday or close to the holiday.
The fields carry Fraser fir from tabletop size to around ten feet and a smaller block of Canaan fir in the five to eight foot range. Fresh wreaths are sold at the farm. Follow the signs from Highway 194 at the Plan B store onto Meat Camp Road and then Ball Branch Road.
