Appalachian Christmas Mountain Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Boone, North Carolina · Watauga County
A weekend choose-and-cut farm on US 421 east of Boone with Fraser firs from about three to ten feet, hayrides, warm drinks and a shop stocked with wreaths, garland, jams and honey.
Staff cut, trim and load the tree once you have chosen it, and there is a small Choose N' Cut area with little trees sized for kids. A hayride runs on open weekends, and hot chocolate, cider and coffee are served.
The shop sells Fraser fir and white pine wreaths and garland along with local jams and honey. The farm sits right on US 421, so it is an easy stop on the drive up from the Piedmont. It opens on weekends only and closes when the trees are gone.
