Cartner's Christmas Tree Farm

A large, long-running Fraser fir grower near Newland, home of a recent White House Christmas tree, that opens its fields to choose-and-cut visitors on a few weekends after Thanksgiving.
The Cartner family has grown Fraser fir in Avery County for decades, mostly for retailers, and opens part of the farm to the public for choose-and-cut on a short schedule. Field trees run from about three to fifteen feet.
