Prettyboy Run Farms

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Parkton, Maryland · Baltimore County

A veteran-owned family farm in northern Baltimore County near Prettyboy Reservoir, grown without synthetic sprays, with eight kinds of trees to cut and free hayrides and cocoa for anyone who buys one.

Hand saws are provided, and gas or electric saws are not allowed; staff can also cut a tree for you. Trees are shaken, baled and drilled at no charge, and twine is supplied for tying it to the car. A hay or tractor ride out to the field and hot cocoa come free with a tree. Pre-cut trees are available on request, and a few potted trees are rented.

The season is short, just a couple of weekends after Thanksgiving, and the tallest trees are limited, so go early. Handmade wreaths and garland are sold and can be special-ordered.
