Greenway Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Woodbine, Maryland · Howard County
A western Howard County family farm that has grown Christmas trees since the 1970s, with two cut-your-own fields near Woodbine and Cooksville, a flat price for every tree and a greenhouse full of poinsettias.
Every choose-and-cut tree costs the same, tax included, so you can pick the shape you like without checking tags. Canaan and Fraser fir grow in the fields, mostly between five and nine feet. Saws and twine are free, and the farm shakes and bales trees for the trip home.
The main farm in Woodbine is open daily in season, while the Cooksville field opens on weekends. Poinsettias grown on site, wreaths, roping, local honey and hot drinks are sold, and a pit beef stand sets up on weekends. Heated restrooms are available and leashed dogs are welcome.
