Evans Whispering Pines Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Danville, Indiana · Hendricks County
A long-running family tree farm outside Danville, west of Indianapolis, where the field opens for choose-and-cut after Thanksgiving and a gift shop stocks wreaths, garland and holiday extras.
The field opens for cutting on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and pre-cut Fraser fir, Scotch pine and white pine are sold at a pre-opening the weekend before. Shaking is free, baling is available, and the crew will help load and tie the tree to your car. Holes for pin-style stands are drilled at no charge.
You can call ahead to order wreaths or specialty items. Chainsaw wood carvers usually work on site on the first Saturday of December, and the farm's miniature donkey and pony are a hit with kids. Weekday hours start after lunch, with full days on Saturdays.
