Dull's Tree Farm & Pumpkin Harvest

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Thorntown, Indiana · Boone County

A large agritourism farm in Thorntown, northwest of Indianapolis, where a wagon carries you out to fields of white pine, Scotch pine and Canaan fir to cut your own, with a pre-cut lot of firs back at the farm.

Cutting trees are reached only by wagon, and walking out to the fields is not allowed. Wagon seats are sold online in half-hour slots for a small per-person fee that counts toward your tree, and a wagon reservation is required on the busy Thanksgiving weekend. Trees in the field are color-tagged by species and priced by height, with the pines costing less than the Canaan firs.

If you would rather skip the saw, the pre-cut area has Fraser, concolor, Canaan and Nordmann firs, plus fresh wreaths. Dogs stay home during tree season except on the farm's one designated dog day. In fall the same farm runs a pumpkin patch with a corn maze and dozens of attractions.
