Kinsey Family Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Gainesville, Georgia · Hall County

A family farm near Gainesville with around 800 cut-your-own cypress trees in the field, a big covered barn of North Carolina Fraser firs and living spruces for planting after the holidays.

Field trees are Carolina Sapphire and Murray cypress, each tagged with its height and price, and a tractor runs visitors out to the field until late afternoon. If you would rather skip the saw, the barns hold pre-cut Fraser firs standing in water, along with containerized and root-balled spruces.

A loading crew helps get your tree onto the car, and pre-cut trees bought with the farm's stand are drilled for free. Around the barn you will find handmade wreaths and garland, a fire for roasting marshmallows with hot chocolate, a petting barn and a small shop with local honey and preserves. The field closes at dark, so arrive early in the afternoon.
