Nuckols Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Cumberland, Virginia · Cumberland County
A second-generation family tree farm on Route 60 just east of Cumberland Court House, about an hour west of Richmond, with cut-your-own pine, spruce and cypress plus pre-cut Fraser firs.
The Nuckols family has grown trees here since the 1960s and once sold only to Richmond-area lots. Today the field offers white pine, Norway spruce, a limited number of Canaan fir and several cypresses, including Murray, Carolina Sapphire and Blue Ice, with pre-cut Fraser firs as well.
Shaking and netting are free during the season. The farm store sells Fraser fir and mixed white pine wreaths in several sizes, white pine garland and tree stands, all from Virginia greenery. Bring cash or a checkbook, since cards are not taken, and look for the white Christmas Tree Plantation sign just past Trents Mill Road.
