A three-generation family farm near Alexandria in western Licking County that opens for a single weekend after Thanksgiving, with fir, spruce and pine to cut and a red-barn gift shop.
Messerall offers cut-your-own Canaan fir, white pine and Norway and blue spruce, along with pre-cut and balled-and-burlapped trees and firs up to about sixteen feet. Trees are baled before they leave.
The red barn holds a gift shop with wreaths and crafts, and hot chocolate is sold there. Because the farm is open only three days and demand is high, arrive early on the first day for the widest choice.
