A West Jefferson nursery that sells choose-and-cut Fraser fir and Colorado blue spruce every day through Christmas Eve, a late option when most High Country farms have closed.
Lyalls opens after Thanksgiving and stays open daily right up to Christmas Eve, with afternoon hours early in the week and full days from Thursday to Sunday. If the weather turns bad you can choose a tree without leaving your vehicle.
Besides Fraser fir, the nursery grows Colorado blue spruce, which is less common in the area. Wreaths, roping and tree stands are sold, and refreshments, snacks and restrooms are on site.
