A family tree farm outside Canandaigua growing Fraser, Canaan and concolor fir plus blue spruce, with free saws and sleds, hot chocolate and homemade cookies on weekends.
Grab a complimentary saw and sled, head into the rows and cut your own tree, or choose a pre-cut one if you prefer. Baling, drilling and tying the tree onto your car are all free, and taller trees are available for high ceilings.
The farm opens on the day after Thanksgiving and runs weekends only, so plan around a Saturday or Sunday. Fresh wreaths are sold on site.
