A large family farm in upper Montgomery County where you reserve a time slot, then head into the fields to cut a Douglas or Canaan fir, with a holiday farm park and Santa visits on select weekends.
Cut-your-own here works by advance online reservation; there are no walk-ins for the tree fields. You can bring your own saw or use one from the farm. Trees in the field generally run from about four to eight feet and are sold at one flat price per tree, plus a small per-car admission that also covers the holiday activities.
If you would rather skip the field, the farm market sells pre-cut trees tagged by size and variety. On weekends the Farmers Porch serves lunch and snacks, and the farm park has animals and play areas. Only service animals are allowed on the property, so leave the dog at home.
