Eckert's Belleville Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Belleville, Illinois · St. Clair County

A large family farm in Belleville, about 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis, where wagon rides take you out to fields of white pine to cut, with a deli, donut shop and country store waiting back at the farm.

Buy field access tickets online before you go, and add the tree at the same time to save on the cut-your-own price. The farm hands out saws and sleighs, and wagon rides carry visitors out to the tree fields. Only white pines are cut in the field; pre-cut Fraser fir, balsam fir and white pine are sold for anyone who wants a fir.

The Belleville farm is open year-round, so a tree trip can include the country restaurant, Mr. E's donut and custard shop, the garden center and a visit with Santa. Jack's Lighted Trail runs at the same farm in the evenings with separate tickets. In other seasons Eckert's offers pick-your-own strawberries, peaches, blackberries, apples and pumpkins.
