Little Hills Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Petaluma, California · Sonoma County
A Petaluma tree farm on gentle, well-kept grounds west of downtown where you cut your own Monterey pine, Carolina sapphire or Leyland cypress, then visit an animal corral of goats, pigs, llamas and a miniature donkey.
The cut-your-own fields grow Monterey pine, Carolina sapphire and Leyland cypress, and availability shifts from year to year. For firs, the farm keeps pre-cut noble, Douglas and Turkish fir in water, and it offers ready-made or custom flocking.
The gift shop stocks ornaments, wreaths, garland and stockings, and the snack bar serves hot cider, hot chocolate and popcorn. Santa visits on weekends. The grounds are fairly flat, which makes the farm an easy outing with small children or grandparents.
