Milltown Creek Tree Farms
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Lovettsville, Virginia · Loudoun County
A family choose-and-cut farm a mile south of Lovettsville in northwestern Loudoun County, with spruce, fir and pine from tabletop size up to about seven feet and country views over the fields.
Saws and tree carts are provided, and baling and twine are free when you bring your tree back. The farm grows blue, Meyer and white spruce, Douglas and concolor fir, and Scotch and white pine, and also sells fresh pre-cut trees and its own wreaths. Most trees top out around seven feet, so this is a better fit for standard rooms than cathedral ceilings.
On weekends there is complimentary hot cider and a small Christmas shop with handmade ornaments and tree stands. Bring cash or a checkbook, since cards are not taken. Pets and gas-powered chainsaws are not allowed.
