Helvetia Christmas Tree Farm
Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Hillsboro, Oregon · Washington County
A family-run farm in the Helvetia hills northwest of Hillsboro that turns its short tree season into a festival, with u-cut noble, grand and Nordmann firs, Santa visits, a tractor train and a marshmallow fire pit.
Trees in the u-cut field run roughly five to nine feet and sell at one flat price, with shaking included and baling for a small fee. Pre-cut trees and natural, untrimmed trees are also on offer, and the gift shop carries handmade wreaths and work from local vendors.
The farm is open only a handful of days, starting the day after Thanksgiving, so check the dates before you go. Families come for Santa on weekends, the tractor train, farm animals, hot cocoa and free roasted marshmallows. Cash, checks and cards are accepted, and the farm says dogs are welcome. In summer the same family runs a lavender farm next door.
