Winterberry Farm

Cut-your-own Christmas trees · Killingworth, Connecticut · Middlesex County

A family-run choose-and-cut farm near the Connecticut shoreline in Killingworth, with 17 acres over four fields and an unusually wide mix of firs, spruces and pine at one flat price.

Saws and carts are provided, and chainsaws are not allowed. Wheel your tree back to the lot, where it gets netted, and twine is on hand for the roof rack. The fields hold more than a dozen kinds, from Fraser, balsam and Canaan fir to Korean, Nikko and Turkish fir, Serbian and Black Hills spruce, and white pine.

The gray barn sells wreaths, kissing balls and greens, and the red barn has handmade wooden gifts. Hot chocolate is free on weekends. Bring cash or a check, or pay by Venmo for a small fee; cards are not taken. Leashed dogs are welcome.
